Campaign update

Survive and Succeed

We’ve recruited a team this week to help get the campaign out there. I’ve been spending between 5 and 8 hours a day outside the day job trying to keep on top of what needs doing, and my fear is not being able to give the campaign its very best chance to get this important issue onto Governments agenda. We also have a time limit – the petition closes mid- February so we’ve got 17 weeks to get the numbers to at least 100,000. Numbers are up to 33,756 so far this week.

So I’m delighted to welcome Lyn Kent, Phil Bray, Stuart Ross, Simon Gray, Deborah Labbate, Martin Knox and Lisa Arnell Spencer to the gang (and a special thank you to Lyn because it was her idea to get a team together!)

We had a double page spread in the Nottingham Post Business magazine this week, courtesy of the fabulous Richard Baker, another key supporter.

How you can help

Post about the petition on social media, do you know anyone with a large database, or any business celebrities? This tax is going to affect every business owner so every bit that anyone can do helps to push the campaign further. We particularly need to start hitting other cities – London, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester etc, so do you have any business contacts or networks in other areas?
